Ann Curry

Ann Curry, an American photojournalist and journalist, who has covered wars and natural disasters for more than 45 years, focuses on the plight of those in these areas. Curry has covered wars across the world, including in Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry (born on November 19, 1956 in the city of Agana) was an American TV anchor, reporter as well as a journalist. Most famously, she was for being the correspondent of the Today Show, a morning news show broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry was renowned for her coverage of human rights issues in war-torn nations and on natural disasters. Curry's mom is Japanese and her father was an American Navy Sailor. Curry met her mother when she was being with her dad in Japan during World War II. Because of her father's military service the family moved often. They ultimately arrived in Ashland Oregon where Curry attended high school. She received a journalism certificate from the University of Oregon in 1978. Her likely to have learned to communicate with empathy through her exposure to different cultures throughout her life. Ann Curry is a well-known American anchor and journalist employed by NBC. The couple lived in San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia. Ashland was her final high school. While working as an intern for KTVL Channel 10 Medford, Oregon, she set the stage for a long and successful television career. She was the only female reporter on KTVL's history when she turned 22. Then, she moved onto becoming an anchor reporter and anchor for KGW KGW, an NBC affiliate station in Portland. The following year, she relocated back to Los Angeles as a reporter for KCBS TV. During her time with this channel for six years that she received the two Emmy Awards.
